Wisdom is a word that you don’t see used much in modern media. We generally believe it is a positive trait, but we often pursue knowledge, skills, strength, wealth, and beauty before we pursue wisdom. We all know what the word “wisdom” means, or at least we think we do. But wisdom is a little more intangible than the other things we pursue, it is harder to measure, it is not as highly valued by our society, and it is less likely to be rewarded.
Even www.dictionary.com has trouble in defining it, and so it uses a related word; their first definition is “the quality or state of being wise”. So we then need to execute another search. And when we look up the word “wise” we get a little more understanding as it refers to a person being perceptive, it talks about the ability to bring insight, to exercise discernment, and to truly understand the situation in which we are immersed.
That is why Perceptive Business Strategies values wisdom so highly. We believe that wisdom is imperative if we are to guide our customers in their pursuit of improving their organization.
